The cost of running Halewood Animal Centre is nearly £500,000 a year - or £1300 a day. We receive no financial support and rely completely on fees charged, donations and legacies to keep the centre open. The Government has given charities like ours a big boost by setting up its “Gift Aid” scheme – where we claim the tax back on any donations that a UK taxpayer makes to us.
